Watt Data vs Triple Whale.
Our Triple Whale numbers say prospecting CAC is up 40%. Who is still converting, and where do we reach them?Reports what your campaigns did and how your numbers compare to similar brands.
Takes a plain description of your company or product and returns how many people buy in your category, what they are shopping for, and how you should reach them.
Watt and Triple Whale use different data to recommend what your next ad should say
Triple Whale's creative analysis reads your ad performance across Meta, Google and TikTok. It "identifies winning patterns, and creates new creative to run." A second agent "utilizes insights from the public Meta ads library to inspire new assets." Both inputs are advertising that already ran: yours, and other brands'.
Watt reads people: what your buyers are purchasing, following, and searching. Bring your Triple Whale numbers to Watt and it reads them next to the people behind them: which customers sit under the campaigns that worked, who else in the market looks like those customers, and what that group is shopping for now.
Triple Whale can tell you what happened. Watt tells you who it happened to, why, and what you should do next as a result.
Watt Data vs. Triple Whale
What Watt does that Triple Whale does not
Surface buyers you have never reached before. Who they are and what they are buying, following and searching for, across all US adults. No report of your ads account can find those people, because they have never appeared in your account.
Build a profile of who your ads are working on. A performance report tells you which ad worked. It cannot tell you who that ad worked on and why, which is the insight your next round of creative rests on.
Tell you what to charge and what to offer. What this group will pay and the offers that resonate, read from what they buy elsewhere in the market.
Size a group before you spend against it. How many US adults are in your market, and how the count moves as you widen or tighten your campaign.
Tell you what your customers want right now. Not what they bought from you last quarter, but what they are shopping for now.
Work with no ad history at all. No pixel, no conversion data, no connected ad account. A plain description of your company or product is enough to start.
What Triple Whale does that Watt does not
Measure your business. Attribution across channels, blended metrics in real time, dashboards a whole team reads. Watt is not an attribution tool, not a media mix model and not a dashboard, and it will not replace the ones you already run.
Measure your creative continuously, without being asked. Triple Whale is connected to your ad accounts, so its creative analysis reads copy, imagery, layout, color and tone across hundreds of variations as they run.
Show you what other brands are running. Triple Whale's creative inspiration agent draws on the public Meta ads library.
Benchmark your metrics against brands like yours. Blended ROAS, blended CPA, CPM, average CTR, new-customer share and AOV, computed daily.
Should you use Watt or Triple Whale?
When you have ad history and the question is what to do with it. Which creative worked and why. What your blended ROAS actually is. Whether your CPM is high for a brand your size. Also when a concept is performing and you want more of it fast. There is a free tier, so finding out costs nothing, though every paid tier is quoted rather than priced.
When you need a better understanding of the market and your potential customers. Who else buys like your best customers, how many of them there are, what they are shopping for this month, and what a campaign aimed at them should claim. Closer to a data analyst than to another tool in the stack: ask a question in plain language and Watt works through the answer with you.
Most growth teams need both solutions in the same week. When a campaign stops working, Triple Whale shows you that it has stopped and where the spend went. It cannot tell you who the replacement ad should be written for, which is where Watt steps in.
Questions, answered
Is Watt Data an alternative to Triple Whale?
No. Triple Whale measures what your campaigns did. Watt describes people who have not bought from you. Watt runs no attribution, connects to no ad account and reports no ROAS, so it replaces nothing in a measurement stack. To replace Triple Whale, look at Northbeam and the other ecommerce measurement platforms. Three products cover the people your ads have never reached, and they do different things. LiveRamp licenses audience segments you push into ad platforms. SparkToro shows where a group spends its attention. Watt shows what they buy.
How much does Triple Whale cost?
Free to start, then quoted. Triple Whale publishes three tiers, Free, Foundation and Automate, and names a price for none of the paid ones: each carries a walkthrough booking rather than a rate. There is no published entry figure or minimum, so the only way to find your own number is the call. The free tier does let you see the product before paying. Watt is free to try, with no sign-up.
Should I use Triple Whale or Watt to decide what the next ad should say?
Triple Whale when a concept is still performing and you want more of it. Watt when the winning ad has stopped winning, or when there is nothing running yet. Triple Whale reads your ads across "copy, imagery, layout, color palette, emotional tone, and more," finds the patterns in what worked, and generates new creative from them. A second agent draws on the public Meta ads library. Both inputs are ads that already ran, which is the right input when something is working and nothing to work from at launch. Watt starts from the buyer: what people in your category buy, follow and search for, with the segment and the reasoning named against every recommendation. Use it at zero to one, and once every new ad is a variation of the last.
What does Triple Whale not do?
It does not describe anyone who has not touched your ads. Triple Whale centralizes and measures the accounts you connect to it. What it publishes about the wider market describes brands, not people: benchmarks are "computed daily from aggregated, anonymized performance data across Triple Whale brands," covering blended ROAS, blended CPA, CPM, average CTR, new-customer share and AOV, and they return only "once your peer group meets a minimum size threshold (at least 5 similar brands)." Someone who has never touched your ads does not appear in Triple Whale's data at all.
Can I use Watt and Triple Whale together?
Yes. Most growth teams need both in the same week. Triple Whale tells you what your campaigns did and where the money went. Paste those numbers into Watt and ask which customers produced them, who else in the market resembles those customers, and what that group is buying now.
