Watt surfaces three categories of flags in its data outputs:
- Email opt-out flags
- Do Not Call (DNC) registry flags for phone numbers
- MAID opt-out flags covering both Apple IDFA and Android advertising IDs
Where available, Watt also exposes the date of the opt-in or opt-out.
Surfacing the flags is Watt's responsibility. Acting on them — or choosing not to, depending on use case — is the customer's legal responsibility based on their industry and applicable regulations.
Does Watt have data on minors, and is it US-only?
Watt's data is US-only. Watt has deliberately avoided GDPR jurisdictions and does not operate in Europe.
What do I need in place from a compliance standpoint?
Compliance requirements depend on your use case — ad targeting, email outreach, or ICP analysis each have different obligations.
