Today we're announcing that Watt has closed a $4.3M pre-seed led by CEAS Investments, Companyon Ventures, 11 Tribes Ventures, Argon Ventures, Bulletpitch, and The Lighthouse, plus a number of operator angels who have built and sold companies in this space before.
What we're building
Watt is signal infrastructure for AI agents.
For decades, the world's most valuable signals have been locked inside a handful of companies. Big tech built empires on them. Hedge funds bought them at nine-figure prices. Everyone else got left behind, building on the same scraps of pre-aggregated data the legacy vendors have been reselling for twenty years.
Watt's Signal Graph ends that. 150,000 behavioral signals (and growing) across 15 trillion relationships, covering 250M+ US adults and 60M+ businesses. The same caliber of infrastructure that powers reasoning graphs at hedge funds. Accessible in plain language to any builder with an AI agent.
What used to require a 200-person data team now requires one Signal Engineer with the nerve to ship.
What the round funds
Three things, in order of priority.
- More signals, deeper coverage. We added ~100,000 signals in the last quarter alone. We're not slowing down. The graph gets sharper, denser, and more competitive every week, and this round lets us accelerate that curve.
- The product surface anyone can build on. We want to let anyone work directly with the Signal Graph. Via MCP, skills, and a product experience anyone (developer, operator, marketer) can explore and use to build solutions. More on this soon.
- The category. Signal Engineering is a new operating model and a new role. The five-person data chain is collapsing into one person plus a substrate. We're going to keep planting the flag on what that means and what it makes possible.
Why these investors
CEAS, Companyon, 11 Tribes, Argon, Bulletpitch, and The Lighthouse all backed us before there was a category to back. They saw the vision, the team, the architecture, and the gap in the market early. That's the bet we wanted in this round: capital that understood the structural problem before the rest of the market did.
We're also grateful to the operators who joined the round as angels. Founders who've built and sold companies in adtech, martech, GTM tech, and AI infrastructure.
Where we are
AI-native companies across GTM, adtech, martech, fraud, and fintech already shipping production agents on Watt. A top frontier lab CTO called Watt "one of the most mature MCP implementations in the world".
The work ahead is bigger than what's behind us. Builders are going to use Watt to compete with the companies that have been winning by default. We're going to do everything we can to make sure they do.
